Bing Wright
Wright specialises in photographing glass windows and mirrors, all photographed in closely cropped composition which creates a flattened feeling. His work was featured in numerous exhibitions at key galleries and museums, including the David Zwirner, New York and the Paula cooper gallery. Below I have included a variety of examples of Wrights different work. while each picture is different for many reasons, they all have one similarity which is editing. Wether it is a simple colour or contrast change or a more aggressive take such as merging two images together and creating a totally new one. I like this take on editing and photography as it shows a wide variety on ways to go about your work. It also gives way you can turn your seemingly basic and regular image into something more interesting with depth. Peersoanly I think that, out of the three below, the one on the right is my favourite. I like this photo as it has a stark contrast between the flower photo and the background one which looks to be grass. Having said this I also really like the other two as they show another side to Wrights work. The middle photo is particularly interesting as its a simple editing job however still manages to draw your attention. The photo shows a small, possibly a Childs, hand splashing water. However the majority of the picture is in black and white aside from a square. This square contrasts well with the rest of the image as the blue water draws the attention of the person viewing it. Overall, I like Bing Wrights work as it shows multiple different sides and takes on photography and even editing. I have attempted to recreate my favourite image below, using photos I took of plants and woodlands. Wrights work inspired me through its contacts and use of variation in pictures used. With my attempt I took a picture of a bright red flowery plant and then a dark woodland floor. Even after turning my edit to black and white, it still showed the contrasts between the two original photos. I like this factor as it still relates and shows that my work was inspired by Bing Wrights.
Please describe the artists' work in a little more detail - for example, what are these photos of and how does the artist produce them? How will you use this artist's work to inspire yours? Please refer to the orange poster 'How to Organise My Weebly' and the green poster on Analysing an Artist's Work to show you exactly what you need to include and the order that you do it in.

What are we looking at above? Is this your photo? For every shoot/project you do, you need to include your intentions - tell us what you plan to shoot/do and then show the contact sheet of the images you shot. Next, explain how you produced the image and include Photoshop screenshots if applicable.
Martin Klimas
Flowers arranged in vases are shot by steel bullets and photographed at the moment they are hit by the bullet.
Anthony Gerace
Anthony Gerace specliases in portrait disfiguration and especially colourful ones. The main factors in his work are Collage, photographs, and typography. This is shown in the three examples of his work I have put below. These portraits are put onto a blank coloured backgrounds and then a grid is placed on top of these pictures. The background colour is then placed over specfic parts of the portrait and creates a broken up image. I like this as it ,again, adds a new feature to a usually plain photo. Gerace likes to make these kind of edits and photos as they combine all of his specialised skills. These collagued portraits also often disfigure the people seen in them by the coloured squares covering parts of their face or body. This could relate to Bing Wrights strand of work as it also shows photos broken up and changed by collages and grids. These similar ways of editing their photos brings the artists together and also relates thier work which i personally really like. I think that Geraces intentions were to simply add another dimension into already taekn portraits. I think this because the only editing that he has done is the rearrangment of the coloured squares which emphasises the main aim of the photos.

Lois, I'm quite concerned at how far behind you are with your work. You were supposed to do two separate shoots this weekend but I don't see them on your Weebly. If you've done them, ensure you upload them ASAP.
